This is not a race!

This is not a race.


This is yours and yours alone to own. It doesn't matter what anybody else does or does not accomplish, or how fast. We all start at different fitness levels, with different health issues, different ages, different challenges. We are human and we are unique. Don't allow yourself to compare yourself to anyone but yourself. Did you show up today? Did you put forth your best effort? Did you try? Fitness is a journey, not a destination. It is a life long journey, that bobs and weaves, and changes, and evolves. The sooner you realize that this is about you and your goals, the more your will be committed. Don't look for an out, look for the in. Commit to allowing yourself the time each day, to become your best you.


I have three busy children, a husband that travels, two puppies, and a career. I have had my struggles with health issues: RA, food sensitivities, and that "c" word that nobody likes to mention. I finally was tired of feeling tired, groggy, bloated, irritable and just plain bad. I made a commitment to myself to change. To give myself the opportunity to live my life better. To be better. To feel better. In addition to all of that, I get to set an example, to inspire.


It's ok to put yourself first, to feel good, to have sustainable nutrition and fitness. You will see that once you make yourself a priority, everything else in your life will improve!
